1. Getting Started
Welcome to your digital disposal space! Here's how to get started with decluttering your digital life:
Creating Your Account
- Sign up with your email address or Google account
- Complete the sign-up process through our secure authentication
- Start with 15GB of free storage space immediately
Your First Upload
- Click the upload button or drag and drop files into your disposal space
- Use the upload button to select multiple files from your device
- Items are safely stored and encrypted in the cloud
2. Importing from Google Drive
You can import files directly from your Google Drive account:
Connecting Google Drive
- Click the Google Drive import option in the upload menu
- Sign in with your Google account and authorize access
- Browse and select files to import
- Selected files are copied to your disposal space (originals remain in Google Drive)
File Conversion
- Google Docs are exported as .docx (Word format)
- Google Sheets are exported as .xlsx (Excel format)
- Google Slides are exported as .pptx (PowerPoint format)
- Google Drawings are exported as .png images
- Regular files (images, PDFs, etc.) are imported as-is
- Google Forms, Maps, and Sites cannot be imported (not exportable)
Revoking Access
To disconnect Google Drive, visit your Google Account permissions and remove disposal.space from the list of connected apps.
3. Managing Your Disposal Space
Learn how to find and manage your files:
Finding Files
- Use the search function to quickly find files by name
- Sort files by name, size, or date uploaded
- View file details including size and upload date
Bulk Operations
- Select multiple files by clicking their checkboxes
- Delete multiple files at once with bulk delete
- Clear selection using the X button in the header
Downloading & Deleting
- Click the download icon to save a file to your device
- Click the delete icon to permanently remove a file
- Deleted files are immediately removed and cannot be recovered

5. Frequently Asked Questions
What happens to my files?
Your files are securely stored in the cloud and accessible through your disposal space dashboard. They remain stored until you choose to download or permanently delete them.
How do I download files?
Click the download icon next to any file to download it to your device. The file will be saved to your default downloads folder.
How secure are my files?
Your files are protected with bank-grade encryption — the same level of security used by financial institutions. Always private, always yours.
What file types are supported?
You can upload any file type - documents, images, videos, archives, and more. There are no restrictions on file types, only on total storage space.
Can I access my files offline?
The disposal space requires an internet connection. However, you can download files to your device for offline access whenever needed.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes! A mobile app for iOS is available on the App Store. You can access the same files and features on your iPhone.
6. Troubleshooting
Common issues and their solutions:
Upload Issues
- Check your internet connection stability
- Ensure you haven't exceeded your storage limit
- Try refreshing the page and uploading again
- For large files, ensure you have a stable connection
Login Problems
- Verify your email address and password are correct
- Try using "Forgot Password" to reset
- Clear your browser cache and cookies
- Try signing in with Google if you created your account that way
Google Drive Import Issues
- Ensure you've authorized disposal.space in the popup
- Check that the file isn't a Google Form or Map (not supported)
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting Google Drive
- Ensure you have sufficient storage space for the import
Performance Issues
- Use a modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
- Disable browser extensions that might interfere
- Close other tabs to free up memory
- Try using an incognito/private browsing window
7. Account Management
Manage your account settings and subscription:
Profile Settings
- Update your name and email through the account settings
- Change your password or enable two-factor authentication
- View your current storage usage
Note: Profile photo and some account settings are managed through our authentication provider.
Subscription Management
- Upgrade to Premium for more storage
- View your billing history in the settings page
- Cancel your subscription at any time
- After cancellation, you keep access until the end of your billing period
Deleting Your Account
- Download any files you want to keep before deleting
- Account deletion is permanent and immediate
- All files are permanently deleted — no backups, no recovery
